Hi guys,

I currently have 2 Dell 2001FP monitors hooked up through my Gainward 6800GT Golden Sample. On the back it has 2 DVI ports and an S-Video out. I would like to pipe the S-Video to my TV, but I'm not sure how to make it work while I have the 2 monitors plugged in. Is it possible to have it mirror the 2nd monitor, or even to have it work as a 3rd monitor of sorts? What are my options?

Thanks.

Can I mirror my second monitor? What do I have to do to enable S-Video instead, disable the DVI and enable the S-Video somehow?

You should be able to enable the TV with the drivers, you may have to disable one of the other panels (I'm notcurrent with Forceware drivrs) Maybe check your Nview documentation. Should be simple.

The card only has two RAMDACs, so it can only output to two displays at the same time. If you want to have 3 displays, perhaps grab a cheap pci card with svideo out.

Two RAMDACs means you can only output to two ANALOG displays at the same time. DVI+DVI+TV or VGA+DVI+TV does work, while VGA+VGA+TV doesn't. Since ATi and NVidia graphics chips have only two output pipes, the TV-out will mirror one of the main displays.

Awesome, that works great for me.

I'll look around in Nview documentation to see if I can find anything. If anyone knows exact details it would be nice not to have to scrounge.. ;)
