s-video on gamecube make a difference? also, what adaptor is good to connect Xbox to a monitor?

I just got a tv with an s-video in and am wondering whether it makes a difference on Gamecube or not. Also, I've looked at some adaptors to hook up things like PS2, Xbox, etc to monitors, but one that I found got some bad reviews. Anyone have a good one that they'd recommend?

s video does make a noticeable difference.
i havent come across any 1st party S video cables for the GC tho,i have a 3rd party one that works well.
They do have official component cables on the nintendo website,but i just havent felt like spending the $30+ shipping to get em :/

I've been thinking about getting the XBox VGA Adapter from www.xboxvga.com but its kinda pricey...not sure yet.

The best option, though pricy for multi-console hookups to a monitor is the Viewsonic N6. $~330 though, but definitely the most comprehensive/high-quality option. The rest are just line-doublers that will look pretty poor on a VGA monitor.
