S-video maximum cable length

I've got a nice desktop with a Radeon AIW card that I use as a PVR/Tivo, and I'd like to connect it to my TV so I can watch video I've recorded on a larger screen. In order to do so, I'll need to run about 50-60 ft of s-video cable to connect the PC to the TV. Will this work? Is the picture going to look like crap after running 60 ft down an S-video cable? Should I look for any particular type of cable to get the best picture? Shielded? What about audio. I've got a S/PDIF output on my sound card, and I don't imagine I'd have any problems running a digital coaxial audio signal 50-60 ft. Since its digital, there shouldn't be any quality loss, right? Would I be better off getting another PC and setting it up next to the TV so I don't have to worry about the cabling?

The maximum industry recommended length for s-video cables is 35' if I remember correctly. I use a 25' cable and can tell no difference from my 6' cable, you may be able to get away with 60' cables to go carries 150' s-video cables, so somebody is using them. Maybe some kind of video sender may be better, I'm not familiar with them myself. Certainly a HTPC would be nice, I'm getting ready to throw together a new setup myself shortly

It depends on the quality of the cable. Svid can easily go over 100'with the right cable type.
