S Video Cable question, help!

Hi,

I'm looking for a special kind of S-Video cable for my DVD Player.

Unfortunately, the DVD Player doesn't have the traditional S Video output jack (female where it accepts a male with 4 pins) instead, the output looks like a "female" headphone jack (ie it's a little hole), like the kind you find in camcorder video outputs..

I have no idea where to find an S Video cable that looks like this on one end. The end going to the TV will obviously be just a regular S-Video male 4 pin. Most S-Video cables you buy in stores have male 4 pin on both sides.

The DVD Player is the US Logic 680P. It's a cheapo player I got at CompUSA.

Does anyone know a place where I can get one of these? Or an adapter such that I can use a regular S-Video cable? I went to Radio Shack and they only had the typical S Video cables...if you have links please send them to me.

I have heard for cheap players using the S-Video won't improve picture quality much over composite....can anyone comment on that?

Also, how come S-Video cables vary so much in price? Are monster cables REALLY that much better than the generics? And is component that much better than S-Video? My DVD player unfortunately has no component out.

Please PM me if you have any ideas.

The problem with that is that it converts it to composite, which defeats the purpose of using S-Video in the first place. Shouldn't there be a S-Video cable to fit that slot?
