STALKER was an amazing game IMO, and for $10 it's an absolute steel.

If you do get it, just make sure you keep playing. The beginning is slow and it's tempting to just give up (which is what I did at first). But the mid/end game is amazing IMO.

STALKER is a must-have. Warhammer 40K is good too - I have 40k & Winter Assault already, else I'd buy this one..

never played these games. Are they online games like world of warcraft? any subscription fees? Or are they more like command and conquer?

Thanks 77% off appears to be a pretty good deal

Bleh... F that... The gold edition doesn't even include Dark Crusade, not to mention Soulstorm. I'd pay $20 for the "whole" DOW package.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R at $10 is a hell of a deal though. I'm going to buy it, despite having beat the whole game already.

Oh, and a little advice to everyone here. When buying anything from gogamer, DON'T select the "dirt cheap" option unless you really dont care when the game will arrive. I used this shipping option and really regretted it, because it took forever for my order to arrive. I was already thinking about calling them up to find out where my stuff is, when the package finally arrived. Apparently, when they say "dirt cheap" they really mean it!

I've placed several orders via dirt cheap shipping - I don't think it's taken more than two weeks.

Funny I feel the same exact way.

I got annoyed by STALKER (the controls, inventory, etc.). I quit at the part where I had to run around some field (past some train tracks) and find someone. .i think. maybe 20 mins in the game. I will give it another go later

BUT the sound/atmosphere was great

Yep, not sure why people complain. Normally takes like 10-12 days, but it's by far about the lowest you'll ever pay for shipping, particularly if you pick up 1 or 2 games.

*shrugs* FedEx ground was +$1 for me (for STALKER, WH and Juarez) and it'll definitely arrive within a week.

I've seen enough people say S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is good that I plunked down the $9 for a copy. Thanks for posting this -- I love buying good games long after release for ridiculously low prices. I doubt I'll have much, if any, time to play this considering how busy I've been lately, but it's nice to have it in my collection.

Did anyone answer whether this game could be registered on steam with the CD key and just download it that way? I'd rather not have a game install and have to deal with inserting a disc, etc.

After finding Valve's official list of 3rd-party games that can be registered on steam, I can answer my own question: no. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. cannot be registered on steam with the cd-key. Oh well.
