S/PDIF output on SBLive 5.1 Platinum Card

Is it possible to get a S/PDIF output on the back of SBLive 5.1 Platinum Card, i know you can with the livedrive, but can you somehow convert the digital output that creative puts over 3 1/8" plugs to a s/pdif output?

There's this little device which takes the input of the Digital out and converts it into S/PDIF, though it does come with an $80USD price tag.
