Just saw the news in the S@NL website http://www.seti.nl/article.php?id=1315

Hello,

A team merged as a subteam with S@NL and now they are 3rd in the world adding 3,6 mlijoen Wu,s. Are there any team that can join us? so we can move up very quickly?
Are there any candidate teams?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking\posting but if you're trying to get Anandtech's SETI TeAm to join yours I'm pretty sure you'll be turned down.

Welcome aboard Mlani,

Many times in the past, other teams have merged. It has been discussed here before and turned away by the majority. We like crunching and aren't much for team "jumping" unless we out produce them that is :p

Its been about a year iirc since this was discussed though, so it might be hard to dig up a link

I lloked but it doesn't seem to be there.

Hi Mlani

I actually made the same suggestion some time ago, get smaller teams to join us..

Well, not a lot of people were impressed with that... but really, we wouldn't have been where we are today if not for other people joining.. and leaving us.

Bill, I think you misunderstood Mlani. He IS a member of our TeAm and is speculating on how we can get other teams to join us. ;) :)

I certainly don't have any issues with any smaller teams joining us as a subteam, as long as Team Anandtech remained as the team name. I would welcome BBR with open arms. :D

I know I misunderstood, that's why I said I wasn't sure what he was asking ;)

:D

So are there any plans in the board of directors of this team to "assimilate" smaller teams?
Or can we keep our world spot on our own?

As far as i know there are no plans to assimilate any other teams, but i'm not on the "board of directors" either ;)
edit- just to clarify, there is no board of directors

Of coarse, anyone's welcome to join at any time, be it an individual or a group :D

If we just keep plugging along we should be able to hold off BBR assuming not too many decide to jump ship before it's all over.
