Young girls with fingers on machine-gun triggers, old ladies staring down rifle scopes and crowds enraptured by simulated firefights.
Looks like fun to me.

Unfortunately, when the North Koreans come across the border, it'll be the American troops doing most of the fighting.
Nice Korea has mandatory military service for males, and first rate military equipment, so it's not like they're slackers.
Still, the US will doing most of the fighting.
S. Korea can wipe out NK without help of the US right now.
SK military is actually prety badass, which is why the US trains with them so much.

Way to prove you're ignorant. It's pretty clear you have no experience with the ROKs. Less than 30k doing all the heavy lifting against 1mil? lol

not really. south koreans have mandatory military service, and due to association with US, some of the best equipment in the world. an open war with NK would see NK destroyed...but of course then they'd go back to doing guerilla shit.
We'll see if and when that happens. Hope it won't cause the entire area will be a nuclear waste land.

SK could easily own NK right now, no problem. China is the problem they are worried about, any invasion of NK will involve China, on the wrong side.
lulz SK does not want unification. Like they want to own the problem that is NK.
Not wanting to get too far off topic. But when I was in the service, one of my good friends had previously served as an advisor to a ROK unit in Nam.
He had nothing but good to say about them. In fact, I never met anyone that had worked with the ROKs that had anything but good to say about them. (Other than perhaps they could be a little too hard nosed at times...)
If you are into things like that, they are generally credited with one of the highest kill ratios of the war...
While I can't speak for anyone else, this old dog soldier is very grateful for the service that the ROKs provided under exceedingly difficult circumstances.

You can see bad korea's artillery pieces in the mountains from Seoul.I wouldn't worry about the NK nuclear arsenal. aren't they missing a key component, a delivery system?
I thought that I read somewhere that Seoul is within arty range of NK. is that true?
