I'm curious. Once I connect to Orangekid's pproxy (I got one WU earlier today), My name goes blank in the cracking field. Is this normal until his proxy can connect to Berkely? My 3 WU's are showing as being loaded from the @home pleasanton ip address.

thanks,

Michael

So if I'm understanding this right since I connect to the net through a proxy there is no way for me to connect to OK's proxy. Is this correct?

Another question, is there anyway for me to use the new SetiQ at all since I connect through a proxy or will I have to get the old setiQ & hack it?

Sorry for all the questions but I haven't been around much since the server change & the new SetiQ came out so I'm way behind on everything.😱

I guess I'll be cracking Rc5 very soon while I wait for the servers to come back up. 🙂

Ok, I'm trying to upload my finished WUs to the team proxy, and I believe the setting the new SetiQ GUI proggie to do so is under the Server Settings section and that I need to uncheck "Use system default internet access settings," set the proxy server to 24.25.104.20, port to 5001, and leave username and password blank? I've done that and it's just sitting there trying to connect. Am I doing something wrong?

It will try to download units first by default. Since you're new to OrangeKid's proxy, it doesn't have any WU to give you... However, this action has created a queue, and OK will add WUs to it manually sometime this morning. So, try again later and it should grab new WUs without a problem.

Blade,

baecuase you run a proxy, your not going to be able to use OKs setiq or a queue of your own.

What you need is a SetiQ on port 80. then you will be able to specify the SetiQ as your proxy.

You cant access the other queue as you would need to define 2 proxies... one to get you out of your firewall to your proxy and then one to connect to the queue.

Actually, Blade (or anyone else) CAN use the new SetiQueue and point it to their work proxy to get it out on the Internet, but it will then automatically connect to the Berkeley servers, and can't be directed to any intermediate Queue, like the one Orange Kid is running...

I can't seem to get anymore blocks for my clients.

They all connected and sent blocks. My login then is wiped out and they crunch away. Then the client can't receive blocks and I need to relogin.

Thanks guys, if the servers ever come back up I'm going to install the new SetiQ & give it a try. 🙂
