It doesn't sound good.:frown: I wonder if there is anyway to just tell setiQ to use the new address like you can do in SetiGate? I know you can tell setiQ to use another proxy.

Well, if the team proxy idea works, you can point SETIQ at the team proxy and then it can redirect to the proper address...

BTW, has anybody heard from Darkone about his attempt? I've tested it a bit here at work and it works pretty well (SETI Gate), but I don't have a broad band connection at home to do a proper beta test...

Have I been under a rock or something? The new 3.03 client doesn't work with SetiQ? I'm glad I didn't switch yet. I use SetiQ on all of my clients so I'm in a bad spot if they don't fix this. :(

Thanks for the heads-up!

The client connects to setiQ fine it's just that seti is changing the server address with v3.03 so that all the old clients won't be able to connect to the server any longer. OfficeBoy posted a link to Ars in this thread that has a fix for it. Check it out.

Has anybody actually tried running V3.03 with SetiQ? From what I read, it just looks like they are moving to a new server name with version 3.03, but that the old one is still accepting Work Units for now, so theoretically SetiQ should still work.. (As long as they have set up the old address to accept results from v3.03...) I haven't tried it myself, but it would be interesting to know if this will work!

Sukhoi my link is fine I just didn't make clear what it was to. It's to the thread in our forum with OfficeBoy's post that has his link to Ars.:)

Fardringle I'm pretty sure it will work for now. The key words are for now. I just don't want to upgrade all my clients and then have to go back and change caching software. I'd rather do it all at once.:)
