Well right now the p2 is pushing them thru in 12 hours, What did you use to cover the b21?

I tried fingernail polish and tape neither one of them worked for me. Wasn't sure about cutting the contact, afraid that I'd screw the whole thing up.

Plus putting the 466 in the lx board I could just get it to run at 525. Now in the bx board it's pushing them out in about 6 hours. As fast as my 600.:disgust:

Thx

Some mobos will unlock the cpu via the b21 pin trick without you having to do anything, lucky for me my Tekram has a jumper that forces 100mhz fsb. All it's doing is using the b21 trick so I didn't have to tape the pin or anything.:)

What mobo are you using the P2 in? On my Abit BX6r2 the bios has the option of hi or low sel or something of that nature (all it's doing is using the b21 trick). Changing it will unlock most of the older P2's.:D Unless I'm mistaken the b21 trick won't work on the LX mobos.:frown:

Have you got a link all about removing the PII case ? ,I tried overclockers.com but all they said for the '1st time' removal was that it was a struggle! ,great!.They then go on about using that 1st case as a template for other PII's

The P2's case was really easy to get off. I read the same article that your talking about and thought it would be tough to do. Then I came across another one that showed a much simplier way to get the case off. I don't have the link on hand but I'll look for the article right quick.:)

Here you go Assim1, get that P2 naked.;)

That's how I removed my case and it was really easy. Just be sure to keep the screwdriver off of the pcb and you should be fine. It didn't take very much force to do it either. I would also highly suggest scrapping off Intel's thermal grease and putting some decent stuff on it. After mine was decased I just put the retail hs/fan and it's done great ever since. Good luck!!:D
