Assim1...did you do any crying about how much data you lost? Man, it DEFINATELY helps to cry a little, btch about how crappy the drive was, how you will never buy a wdc drive again, etc. They want to make you happy, they can tell you EXACTLY what drive they will exchange it for...at least they always have for me.

Damn! ,no I didn't ,oh well I can always hope they don't have any 3.2Gb left.
BTW I think it was the IDE interface that died 'cos the drive was still spinning up OK.
They wouldn't repair it would they?
