Thanks, HB.

So has there been a final date set for SETI Classic then, or is it still on until further notice?

No end-date yet, there's still some server-shuffling to do, among other things move the Master Science Database to another server with faster disks, and switching the upload/download-server to the old Master db-server to meet increased demand.

The new SETI@home/BOINC database-server on the other hand seems to work without any problems, and had 3 months of wu/results before they at last started to purge old "done" wu yesterday. Normally, this purging happens 7 days after wu "done", to keep the database small, so there doesn't seem to be any problems with increased size atleast.

Oh, and thanks for the stats, Hellburner.

That was a close one with BBR!

Still not sure about BOINC... SETI Classic has sure been nice to run on clients.

Good Morning, TeAm Mates! :sun:

Not sure what words to say to our British mates ... Congratulations, I suppose. :)

Power outage at dawn this morning automagically fired up my generator and WOKE ME UP! Temporary it was ... all of five minutes. Q got hung due to DNS2GO not reconnecting properly but all is well now.

Thanks for the morning coffee, Hellburner. :)

Adding to what Rattledagger already said, i think they want the BOINC/SETI servers to be able to handle 500,000 active users without problems before making the switch.

SetiDriver works nice on my HT dually for changing the number of clients running. But BOINC ain't so bad for doing that and has some other good features! I haven't had any problems running E@H, actually I kinda like BOINC.
