Now that's more like it! We didn't make up what we lost yesterday but there's no point in crying over water under the bridge. ;)

Thanks Hellburner!

:) Welcome to all the new people. :)

Neurodog,

Sounds like you have a nice job. :)

I'm a loser at a $h*ty company.
I only stay there because I can retire in 7 years, 3 months and 20 days

Nice to see that new members are joining every day. We're still making pretty good ground.

I'm often a 5 AM person in the Pacific Time zone. If I'm driving, I have to leave darn early to beat the Silicon Valley traffic. I get to retire in about 30 years maybe less if my 401(k) does well <grin..

The only reason folks are seeing me here this early is because I'm taking a Windows 2000 Server class this week and it starts at 8am EST each day! :Q

I usually start my work day at 1pm and work until 9pm at night! :Q

Talk about messing up my sleeping schedule... :|

One positive note though.. in my classroom I've overclocked two of the P3-550 systems to 605! :p

I am at my first week of being Manager of Information Systems at a credit union. I needed to feel out how the place would be for me running Seti@home. Now I see that it is very possible (especially since I am the TOP computer authority at the entire credti union) so I will be able to load it onto all the machines soon. Already assimilated this PPro200 and a new PIII-1GHz I just installed. Right now everyone here has their own modem and dials up themselves (bleh) and I don't remember if the GUI client can dialup itself or not. I have it set to "automatically connect" so maybe it will work, maybe not. We will see. If it does work, say HELLO to 50ish computers. :) Gotta find out how many we have though.

I plan on getting DSL for our workplace and leave the modems as a backup connection. Anyone have experience ordering and hooking up DSL for a business?

Also, for the systems that don't have a modem but are connected to the network, I can't remember if SetiQueue will autodial and hangup. I *can* stay connected on this box most of the time, but not all the time. Solutions?

Hi ,good to see you producing again :D ,what happened that made you go flatline for 3 months or so?
BTW I don't suppose you know what happened to Ragman do you?

I dunno if it was a question to everyone ,but my job is a vehicle mechanic.

Ben:

As long as Windows is set up to dial automatically when an Internet connection is requested (eg: dial automatically when a browser is opened) then the GUI client shouldn't have any problem connecting when it needs to. Just make sure the dial-up connection is set to disconnect after being idle for a while so they don't stay disconnected after the client is done downloading the Work Units. Or, you could just set up a central SetiQ and have the workstations get work that way and not worry about dial-up...
