That's a Mini Team Race for the newer folks.

It's been awhile since we had one & just thought i'd see if anyone's interested.

In case you're not familiar with them, we see who wants to be involved, divide those into into roughly even teams(based on daily average), set a start & end date & go.

Rules:
- OK everyone, the race starts on October 10th (Canadian Thanksgiving) & runs to November 24th (US Thanksgiving). I suppose going by UTC time would be easiest.

- Dump your caches before the race starts!!! No pre-race caching!!!

A couple weeks ago I would have been out. But now that I have a Pentium M laptop that chews through WUs like candy, I'm in!
 
I've only got one computer consistently crunching seti, but I'll try this out 🙂

Out of curiosity, by joining a mini team I will stop collecting points for my account, right?

No, what happens in a Mimi-Team race is that you are assigned a "team" but crunch for yourself. Each team's individual stats are collected and combined for the team. Each team races against the others. You still get credit for your WUs. 🙂

I edited my OP with names & daily averages from Smokes page, but they don't look right... at least mine was off. I see alot of people are labeled "New" on the 19th & show zero output for the 18th 😕

Yeah, Soni or someone had the MTR stats pages all setup for Mini-Team races. 🙂 I'll see if I can find them tonight sometime when I get home from work.

Although my daily average is 5ish, I might be able to bump that up if I can convince some friends to let me run seti on their computers, although chances are that won't happen. (not that 5 more will effect the scores much anyway 🙂 )

That's one of the things we try to do in these races. I'll put you down for 5 but try to assimilate as many comps as you can(legally😉) during the race to boost your team.

New assimilations is what we try to do but just don't get an exsisting team mate to crunch under you account during the race.
