Anyways. It's a bit funny how the SEC gets trashed for "preferential" treatment as far as their schedule and conference. But they end up, again, as a two school SEC NC game. Further more, I was very happy to see Bob Stoops on the sidelines to witness the Georgia/OK game and also watching Clemson get man handled by Bama.

That said, it's very apparent that Nick Saban is a freaking genius. How many coaches take their 25-2 QB out of the game at half time and put in a true freshman with no significant playtime. Bama was led in yards at RB, WR and QB by true freshman. WTF?

But the cake is Saban realizing he needed a more aggressive passing attack (and realized his QB wasn't producing) and putting a True Fresh in at QB, who ended up having 3TDs (and a brilliant one for the win) in the game was brilliant coaching.

Hard point - I'm a UT fan through and through. It pains me to recognize what Saban has done, but the dude is a beast as far as coaches. Honestly, what he did was hold a special weapon to his hip and then unleased it at the right time. You know that GA had not trained/scouted for him, so he was totally unexpected. Brilliant, no doubt.

I loved seeing Bob Stoops think his team could beat a solid SEC team. Then thinking Smart could beat his mentor who he's trying to replicate. Great stuff.

Defeat snatched out of the jaws of victory for GA. Almost as rewarding as the Illary post election pics.

<---Clemson grad. Yeah, we sucked and should haven't been ranked #1. Especially after Syracuse.

Nope, Kirby said in his interview, he believed Tua would ply and they were expecting it. They just could not stop him. Roll Tide!

No great teams this year but the two best teams were in the championship game IMO. Bama 2016 would roll Bama 2017 and Clemson 2016 would have won it again this year. Clemson would have had a much better chance at winning it all if they'd been ranked #2 and played UGA or Oklahoma then faced Bama with a one week preparation than facing Saban with a month to prepare. I knew they were doomed because their offense is a shell of last year's.

Yes Saban is a genius but most people who have been following the Bama program closely have known that Tua is a much better QB than Hurts but wasn't ready early in the season. Plus Hurts was very good at running the Bama game plan - make safe passes that don't get intercepted and hand the ball to your RBs (his TD/INT and W/L stats show it). But when they got behind (AU, UGA) he's not a great "drive your team down the field" QB.

this marks the second time alabama came in third in the SEC and claimed a championship, but it's far more legit than the first time it happened.
