My card is a Nvidia geforce 4 4200 with 8x agp.
monitor is a Dell 2005
Tv is 50" LCD dlp
I hooked the new monitor to DVI first, great picture at 1680x 1050 nothing on the tv
check connctions and setup no cloning was avable.Even drop the ressoltion.
Then I changed the to the sub D connection.check setup and found cloning. What I get on the TV is my desk top real grainy ahd when I change to viwe a video it shows the windows
media player but no video. Any help on this?
I had this setup with a 17"ctr monitor and it was a great picture on the TV. all I change is
the monitor.
Would putting in second card with Svideo out and using that to view on the TV work
Thanks

Welcome to AT.

LCD and DLP are different technologies so I think your tv is one or the other, not both.

Do you need both displays on at the same time? Setting each as a primary display and switching between the two would probably solve your problems.

You probably have to change color quality and such for the TV right now if the image is grainy.
I think the lack of video is caused by an overlay issue but I haven't dealt with it myself. I know there are several threads on the matter here in video if you want to search for them.
