Ryzen , RAM Speed , VRM Question.

Hi , i am planning to build a new pc based on Ryzen 1600 with the focus on low temperature with 1 ssd , 2 HDD , a decent GPU and maybe a sound card . ( I am not planning on overclocking )

a) Ryzen benefit a lot from high frequency RAM . What's the temperature differences on CPU and VRM temperature between 2166mhz vs 2666mhz RAM .

b) Since i am not overclocking , will motherboard with good power phases ( or a lot ) reduce the overall temperaute in CPU and VRM ?

c) Any good recommend for motherboard ?

Extra Note : Please don't recommend good CPU cooler or heatsink as i do believe it does help reducing the reading on the CPU & VRM temperature. But whatever hot air come out from the casing will be felt in my room and i live in a hot country . Currently owning a faulty Amd 7750 ( Kuma ) with 60c CPU idle and that's why i focusing in getting a below 40C idle CPU.
Sorry for the bad english . ( Please do moved this post if i post this thread in the wrong section )

Do you mind to explain what hot category is? Or where do you live exactly? Because to be honest, your setup won't emit too much heat to be considered as "room heater".

well for me , above 75°C is consider hot and i would say that prefer a below 80°C pc on full load ( GPU and CPU ) . I live in malaysia ( average 27°C ) and i turn off my pc once or twice a month .

Oh, fellow SEA member. Salam kenal, then..

I currently don't have any Ryzen system (you may see it under my signature). But, your system may run a lot cooler than mine because it has lower overall TDP.

Because I don't eligible to answer your main questions, you may visit this thread and folks there will happily answer your questions.
*quick hint:
- DDR4-3200 will leverage your CPU performance to its limit
- If you have limited budget, B350 boards can be had for small amount of money (I personally prefer Asrock, Gigabyte, and MSI)
-Even if you insisted, I still recommend you to use aftermarket cooler so it will sustain its turbo (and XFR) for longer time.

thanks ~ i will try to post it there ~ btw thanks for the recommendation ~ regarding the aftermarket cooler , it is not that i am not getting it , i prefer to focus on running as cold as possible ~

You may consider to undervolt it. AMD products usually come overvolted from the factory to increase yields. If you're lucky (silicon lottery, ofc) you may undervolt it and by doing it will reduce its power consumption and heat for certain amount.

yes ~ undervolt helps a lot in lowering the temperature . been doing that for the past 6 or 7 years until recently coz the setting always reset by itself ~~ 🙁 . time to get a cold cold cold cold pc this time ~ kuma x2 7750 with a AMD HD 4850 and a MSI motherboard = hot hot hot hot . Idle temperature for both CPU and GPU sits at 60c ~~

I believe 60 C on idle is a bit on the high side. HSF cleanup and thermal paste replacement should be a good temporary mitigation.
