Agreed. There was only 1 bent corner and that was in the lower part of the box. Hopefully better luck with the next one. Hopefully Amazon comes through as they were the only other one I found in stock

Weeeeeeee......My 3950X shipped out today and I stopped by Best Buy and picked up the only Asus TUF X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) they had in stock. So sometime this week I'll be sporting a 3950X/ASRock Aqua, 3900X/Asus TUF combo. The 3930K was a trooper and had a good run, but it's time to put it out to pasture. I may keep the 5960X or I may send it the way of the 3930K, not sure yet.

Well, the 3950x is now in supply both at newegg and Amazon, but both are about $800.

Edit. Mine will be here any minute, its within a mile of my house.

I just got a bunch of stuff delivered to me at work for my new build; Amazon says the CPU was one of the items (Getting pumped!). And yeah, looking at the 3950x as if I were going to buy another on Amazon, it shows a price of $796.16 for me right now, too.

I see a comment on the product page:

"Note: Available at a lower price from other sellers, potentially without free Prime shipping."

Does that mean Amazon themselves increased the price? lol

Right, I'm sure it's just a default Note, but that we can see it means the ~$800.00 must be Amazon's new price for selling the chip. We wouldn't see the note if Amazon had none in stock is what I'm saying.

Yeah, they raised their price. If I were to order one I can have it Thursday.

Still waiting on my BB 3950X. Should be here Thursday. I hate waiting when I have a new motherboard just dying to get a cpu installed into it.

I have motherboard, case, NVME drive, 280 MM AIO, 4266 memory (16 gig) 2080TI video card, all assembled. Just NO CPU, they could not find it on the truck when UPS got to my house today !!!!! The computer says its in the truck, and he looked hard, and could not find it. I watched him from beside the drivers seat, so NO BS, it probably was not in there. I hate this.

Edit: He found it, see build in 3000 Ryzen builders thread.

Amazon is showing the 3900x in stock for $494 currently. Even same day for me if I was in the market.

Finally finished most of the build last night. This 3950x had no bent pins. Seems pretty good. Going to test temps later!

Seems like a beast of a cpu. Needed to manually set ram speed. It didn’t like the default of 2100mhz on 3600mhz memory lol.

Finally got around to starting my build today. I was simply dreading tearing the 5960X build down. It's simply so much gear in that box it's difficult to work with. Had it mostly assembled to the point of filling the loop and it was leaking like a sieve. I took care of the obvious leak, blew off the water from the components the best I could with the air compressor and continued on until I was to the point I was about satisfied and then noticed it would again stream out the water only when I would tilt the case to the left. I tracked down that leak and am pretty confident it's now taken care of so I finished the fill and bleed. I'll let it run a bit longer and give it tomorrow to dry out any errant water droplets and hit it again with the compressor. Then I'll boot her up and see how it goes.

The 3900X build should be a breeze compared to this 3950X. Looking forward to it, it's a much more simple loop and less complex case and components in general.
