ryu vs ken

I usually pick Ryu. Though Ken's uppercut has more range, as it moves forward while going up. If someone is just standing around, I like to do a jumping roundhouse followed by a fierce punch then a jab (small) uppercut. Instant 3 hit combo that has a good chance of making them dizzy. Do it again while they're dizzy and you've taken a good chunk of life. 😀

Oh my gosh, I remember those thighs. mmmmmmmmm.... pause button. 🙂

The last street-fighter I EVER PLAYED was Street-Fighter II for SNES (which was identical to the arcade version Street FIghter II).

All the other ones that came after that were dumb.

I liked Ken, especially when his dragon punch started lighting people on fire. 😀

But I think Ryu was actually the stronger character.

bah! they're both cheap....iori slaughters them both, hell, at the same time. 😛 but if it had to be a capcom street fighter...fei long.

ken's medium uppercut is approx equal in range and speed to ryu's fierce uppercut.

as for the fireballs, why don't we all just admit that ryu's firballs simply look cooler, but in actuality, they are both of the same speed and take up same damage.

Ken's uppercuts connects for multiple hits- but all three have to connect for it to take up more life than ryu's single shot uppercut. same case with the hurricane kick. to stay on the safe side, i would pick Ryu. But for style (ie regular arcade play) i would pick ken. btw, anyone here from sunnyvale golfland? 🙂

uhm, it actually depends on which game

sf2 = either or, they're both the same. guile would pwn either
sf2 champ = id take ryu
super sf2 = ryu again
sfa = ken. john choi roll trap anyone?
sfa2 = im not sure i barely played this one
sfa3 = ryu with y-izm
sf3/double strike/triple strike = ryu. shin shoryuken takes too much dmg
CvSNK = ryu again... shin shoryuken
CvSNK2 = ryu again, tho i havent played this one too much, though sagat pwns all 😛

X-Men vs. SF = why would u pick either for this game? ill stick to juggernaut + rogue/magneto
Marvel vs SF = same as above
marvel vs cap = same as above

Ryu seemed to be slightly faster when I last played.
Ken with a bit more power.

I'm old school -- I like Ryu more. Jump kick followed by roundhouse sweep 0wnz j00!
