Thats not how people budget though.

Look at this forum, those who buy the expensive cards do so yearly or whenever a new one is released (heck we have people upgrading from 1080 to titans).

Those who buy the budget cards keep them for years because they don't have the money to spend to upgrade often, or even "at all" (why they are buying the cheaper card in the first place).

I think youre focusing more on the exceptions and not the norms. And speaking in absolutes, blanket statements and sweeping generalizations are all im seeing from you here. There are more than eleven people in the world. A lot more. And most of them are not Baasha or AdamK47.

Nah. it's a mid range card. high texture is not expected. Just turn down settings on your NEW card on a MAINSTREAM resolution of 1080p because that's what you have to do on your brand spanking new 3GB card designed for mainstream. Besides, there are plenty of benchmarks clearly showing 3GB destroying things. Plus, you can always upgrade in 9 months to 4GB, use that for 9 more months; then upgrade to 6GB 9 months later. It's a win-win. Who doesn't like upgrading to new hardware?
