GM has to throw a discount at everything they sell except for the Corvette.

Ya, damn those marketing people for coming up with a way to sell cars when business was slow!

This is not only when business is slow. Steep discounts are 24/7/365 for GM. GM throws discounts on just about all of their cars b/c they just sit on the lot. Hell, they were selling Sunfires for $6,000 off the $15,000 price tag. That's not slow business, that's desperate. You won't see Honda or Toyota doing that sh!t:

It's less so with GM SUV's and pickups, but they are still slapped with discounts ALL THE TIME.

I saw a Burgandy G35 sedan today with a SPOILER.:|:| OMG, that spoiler TOTALLY f*&ks up the beautiful lines of the G35. I wish I could just shoot the driver😉

Was it the stock spoiler? It looks good and is functional, unlike almost every spoiler out there.

Yes, stock spoiler. No sedan should have a "wing" or "I believe I can fly" spoiler. The only spoiler that should be on sedans are the subtle "lip" spoiler like on the back of the M5.

Granted they go on all the time, but I beileve the idea came about when sales were really low across the board. I say if they need to do this to get people back into a GM car, then so be it.

Cadillac CTS for me. I say screw the IS300 because my Cavalier is still hanging with them from light to light around town. 😀

I said my choice of all of them is the CTS. Now in regards to my Cavalier, I said it hasn't found an IS300 on the streets of Metro Detroit it couldn't butt heads with.

A rental what? Try again... Not your rental Cavalier.

You don't like the 18" show rims? These girls liked them enough to pose with my car.

The difference between the Cavalier and the IS300 is that the Cavalier sells, while the IS300 is a mega flop.

The IS300 matches the BMW 3-series in every dimension (height, length, width) to once inch. What the Toyopet executives failed to realize is that if buyers want a BMW 3-series, they're going to buy a BMW 3-series, not Lexus's pathetic knockoff. Sure, Lexus throws in a 3.0 for the price of BMW's 2.5, but it's such a damn feeble 3.0 that it barely outperforms the 325. The ugly rice boy taillights don't help much either.

It's easy to sell Cavaliers when your practically GIVING them away to fleet/rental agencies and giving $5,000 discounts on them:

That being said, there is NO comparision that you can make between the two. One is a pathetic excuse for a compact sedan, the other is a RWD sports sedan.

I never thought of that in that perspective.

Nice car. I like the paint and rims. However it seems kinda high, you should lower the car a bit. Is it the Z24? That Quad4 has balls.

Also, why did you choose the Cavalier over the Neon R/T?

As NFS4 stated: the biggest buyers of Cavaliers are rental/fleet companies, and even then, they are only pushing them with massive discount. Also, the IS300 costs quite a bit more than a Cavalier, making them un-attainable to the youngins.
