This lady has kicked colon cancer at ~65, pancreatic cancer at ~75 ... and now lung cancer at 85?

What the *hell* kind of cancer treatment do rich people have access to in the US? I want in.

What the *hell* kind of cancer treatment do rich people have access to in the US? I want in.

Early detection. They caught the colon cancer while treating an abdominal infection, caught the pancreatic cancer during a routine follow-up for her colon cancer and caught the lung cancer as a result of her recent rib damage from her fall.

She is incredibly fortunate, and illustrates the power of early detection.

RBG won't be "clear" of her new cancer for at least a few years. It could still become apparent at any time.

I don't think they should claim they are cured. Esp after this short of time period. It could pop back up anytime. I hope not for her sake, but that is the reality.

The 5 year clear history is just a research benchmark.

I just read somewhere that she missed oral arguments for the first time in 25 years. There was speculation that she wasn't recovering as expected.
I to hope she recovers, but It's probably time to retire.

Yes, and she had lung cancer, recently. Before that pancreatic. Pancreatic has the lowest survival chance of any known cancer, or at least among the common types. 5%. Lung also has a poor prognosis. It's actually quite incredible if she has now survived both.

Reminds me of my mother-in-law who is 90 and beat colon cancer at ~60, has a photographic memory, sharp as a tack, still physically active, never gets sick, still drives safely and uses google fu on her computer daily. I think it's in the genes.
