I say let her sue, but she has to allow authorities to look at every single one of the cds she owns, along with any digital music in her posession. If any derogatory phrases are found about women in her music, she must drop the suit.

She is suing for monetary damages, how does that restore her "good name" and reputation?

I wish people like this would DIAF

i saw this clown of a lawyer yesterday on CNN Anderson Cooper 360 (i never watch that but im out on business and got nothing better to do at night in the hotel) and the other guests that Anderson had on were snickering on everything he had to say. that was nice to see

and the questions they raised, did you just start representing your client, are you saying people recognized that she was a prostitute when Imus said what he said? the clown kept saying we'll see him in court.

I hope the fact that he is representing this b|tch ruins HIS reputation... The whole team got their free 15 minutes of fame over something that was nothing; they should be happy they got some facetime and a visit from Al "not-so" Sharpton and move on...

Imus has done ALOT of things for the good of ALOT of people -- more than the entire RU women's basketball team will ever do in their lifetime combined...

I really hope that nappy-headed ho has to pay every bit of those court costs/lawyer fees/etc. and has to give back all of that time she's wasting in hard manual labor.

Well seeing how Don Imus is a few million richer (after reaching an undisclosed settlement with his former employer yesterday), I think the lawsuits will roll in. And as much as I hate Don Imus... home they roll out just as quick.

Looks like Imus was right about her at the very least.

Funny, I don't remember Imus singling out Ms. Vaughn. In addition, I would wager that > 99% of the American population haven't a clue who any of these women are by name. How is this going to affect her future? Hope he counters and wins big.

As little as I like this ... I do have to say that I do sympathize with those girls... That controversy completely flipped their world upside down and probably significantly distracted them from their persuits. The media decided they needed a no location for their circus tent and these girls were their newest sideshow. And anyway this is America... might as well sue and try to make a buck.

same. i am suprised it took so long.

wonder when the other's are going to file? at first i thought they were just attention whores. now i know they are greedy fucking attention whores.

You do realize it wasn't them who started or maintained the controversy? They had very few statements in the media. Not to mention they had just won a national champship and suddenly they were being sideswipped into a completely different story...

I'm gonna sue Imus, all 'dem nappy headed hos AND all the news channels for wasting my time, intellectual capacity and energy on this idiotic, pointless "scandal" excercise. Can we please, please call it the nappy-headed-hogate? Please?

This incident has obviously crushed her name and reputation.

I mean, before this lawsuit, the name "Kia Vaughn" was right on the tip of my tongue. Since Imus-gate, "Kia Vaughn" and "nappy-headed ho" go together like peanut butter and jelly in my mind. When a passerby on the street mutters "nappy-headed ho," which happens nearly every hour, I compulsively respond with "Kia Vaughn."

If someone takes offense to my association of "Kia Vaughn" and "nappy-headed ho", I blame the white devil, Imus, and then run like a little girl.

The timing of this lawsuit is beyond belief.

[4 months after the fact...]
"Hmm, that Imus guy just negotiated a settlement with his employer, and will remain on the air and on contract? I guess he's got money then--I'm gonna sue because that name-calling really hurts--I almost forgot about the pain but then I saw his name in the news and it hit me all over again!"
