what would you call it then? They may be linked way back to other white people, but if you go far enough back all races are one in the same. correct?

I consider the different peoples in europe to be different "races" although this is a bad term.. as we are all human "race".

A lot of the differences between europeans is cultural, but there are blood differences too. people from scandinavia tend to be fairer skin, blonde. south - darker hair. etc, etc.

I don't think I'd mention race, I'd call them 'Russian' and leave it at that.
