Russian/Albanian terrorists seize bus in Greece w/ explosives and guns -CNN

I've seen both a Greek jail and a Russian jail on TV and I wish the US would follow in their footsteps. No need for the death penalty when you have a real prison.

no al qaeda or chechnya ties so far, but why would they want to fly to russia?

i say blow up the bus

what would you do, give in to their demands...

I say we must assault these fools so that in the future they realize that its never going to work and they are going to die.

Well, I see your idea of killing a whole bunch of innocent people along with the hijackers as an easy way out, and horribly unfair for the innocents and their family and friends. Maybe if your mom or dad, or brother, or sister, etc., were on the bus, your "solution" might be a little different.

I question your value of life, it appears to be the same as the hijackers.

While I agree your "solution" is a future deterent of further situations of the like, I would think, and hope, we are smarter and can find better ways of handling situations like this. Perhaps we give them a million in cash, fly them to Russia and have them arrested when the plane lands, and take back the cash.

On average, criminals are not smart. Surely we can think of ways of fooling them, solving the problem without killing innocent people.

I remind you that at times, the Russians solve their problems in the manner in which you speak, and yet they are still dealing with hijackings and kidnappings, just like the one in the school just months ago.

i have a feeling they just want a russian airliner to crash into some target

seeing as how a bus is highly visible, have multiple snipers hit up both hijackers at the same time. heat vision should be enuff to determine a reasonable headshot. or just lure them out with the plane and shoot them on the tarmac

i doubt they're competent enuff to have a deadman's switch

With that kind of thought I say we blow you up. Have you no concern for the lives of innocent people? You are disgusting.

Thanks for the personal attack...I didn't that was allowed here.

The needs of the many outway the needs of the few.

Think of it as a bold action against terrorism.

Its like when one person takes another hostage and holds a gun to their heads and the cops always give in or drop their gun or whatever... I say go for the hostage taker, and if the hostage dies, well perhaps people will learn not to take hostages.

The long term benefits could be extraordinary.

I apologize but I just can't see the justification in killing off the hostages with them.

Where is Albania? (If that is correct Albanians -ns).

Why are they letting the hostages go? Why do they want to fly to Russia?

Someone didn't think about this when they hijacked the bus...

All Hostages in Greek Bus-Hijacking Freed

Fox News has breaking news that all the hostages have been released. No details yet...

BBC says the kidnappers have surrendered....

Let's make sure to play out that scenario when it's your mother, brother, sister, daughter, son, etc... Then tell me it's that easy to 'sacrifice' innocents.

Besides... a lot of these terrorists don't CARE if the die -- that's the whole point for them. They just want to take out as many of 'us' as they can, regardless of their life. You can't fight that kind of craziness by instead of them killing people, us killing them first.
