They closed their North America tour dates in my home town last night.
It was probably one of the best Rush shows ever (I only saw 3, but many there had been to see then many more times than me and said the same thing).
Well produced and an excellent soundboard. Very few timing mistakes that probably no one but a 'fan' caught.
Really good crowd there, very diverse. From teenagers to little old people (which I was surprised to see without other family with them).
The thing that sucked was a 20oz beer on draft was $11. A regular can was $8. That's just fucking insane. At least parking is still free, but since the last time I was at this venue they added three tiers of paid parking....$40, $20, $10 now pushing the free zone much further out. Fortunately I arrived early. Fortunately they do allow you to bring one bottle of any sized water in with you if you wanted and unlimited food. I usually don't eat at a show, but the 1/4 pound hot dogs were $8.50.
In the end it was worth it.
