They're focusing on this guy like they don't focus on anybody -- and I'll tell you, I know what it is. The media, the sports media, has got social concerns that they are first and foremost interested in, and they're dumping on this guy, Rex Grossman, for one reason, folks, and that's because he is a white quarterback.


RUSH: They're just all over this guy! They can't wait for this guy to fail. They're hoping he fails.

CALLER: It's terrible.

RUSH: Before the game they're talking about he's the worst quarterback to play in the Super Bowl and they're asking Lovie Smith all during the week, "When are you going to bench the guy, Lovie? At what point in the game," and that's the only time Lovie Smith apparently lost his cool a little bit during the week with media sessions. You know what this is. The media... You know the social things. I don't need to go into this.

CALLER: Well --

RUSH: They just want this guy be the to not do well because he's a white quarterback.

Rush really is a terrible sports analyst. I guess somebody should tell him that Peyton Manning is also white and the press loves him.
 
Gee, maybe they are dumping on him because he threw 2 lollipop passes that seal the
victory for the colts?? Rush is a piece of pill poppin trash, I hope he slides under a bus
and tastes his own blood.

Edit: Yeah, he got fired because he was basically gloating about a black star quarterback doing badly. Kind of ironic.

He was criticized all year, people expected him to get benched earlier on in the season. I had assumed everyone expected this outcome from the beginning... But of course some die-hard bears fans actually thought they had a snowball's chance in hell while Rex was playing...

yeah its not like they were any good any way. 15 wins is not any good really. Not like the defense gave up 30 first downs or anything either. They shoulda put in Orton in week 4, we'd be superbowl champs!
 
His point may have something to do with how the media made such a big deal about the Bears having a black head coach and having the highest percentage of black players for any team ever to make it to the Super Bowl..............and the one apparent weakness is the only visible white guy on the team.

His statement probably has more to do with the fact that's he's a bigoted idiot who gets paid to make retarded remarks that resonate with hicks, morons, etc.

He's also the starting QB, so the majority of the fame and the shame goes on his shoulders. Political commentators shouldn't be commenting on sports (and sports commentators shouldn't be commenting on politics), they don't know what the heck they're talking about.

Rex Grossman is no Peyton Manning, I think I can say that is the closest Grossman will ever come to winning a Superbowl. I know it's hard to find good quarterbacks or at least getting the Bears to pay for a good quarterback.
