I heard that a while back, cancer had 4th stage Rush, but I hadn't heard much since then. 😎

My mother in law died of small cell lung cancer. They still haven’t said what type he has but with a terminal diagnosis it’s most likely small cell. Chemo and radiation only stop new growth for a short time, eventually all it does is slow progression. It seems he has reached the point it just slowing progression. He has about six months to live.

I don’t wish death upon him. He did not have to die this way but his actions in life have caused it to be. Small cell lung cancer is almost completely avoidable.

If I had a magic wand I would absolutely wave it and cure him. He'd have to wait in line behind a lot of other people first though.

Has he said anything about his previous attitudes to this? He's in the position to make something at least a bit positive out of this.

That is literally Rush's lifelong stance on tobacco, and that is the same as you defending him as if he were talking about the situation with lead in the 60s and 70s...the decades of complete denial towards what "egghead scientists" were telling you, and how the noble energy industries were just looking out for you "because they said they were."

...I guess "youth" is the only one with perspective. How did that escape you?

BTW: This piece of shit said in the W years that soldiers signed up to die for their country so people (i.e. democrats) shouldn't care so much when they got killed. I hope he has a horribly painful death, worse the my friend's dad that spent his life fighting for anti-smoking legislation and then died of lung cancer years later, never having smoked in his life.

For the record, I remember your party cheering for the death RBG all because she defended the rights of real people instead of corporations, so cry me a river.

he had to know smoke was a health risk and decided to do it anyways so screw him.

maybe he can cut some anti-cancer commercials ......, lol, who am i kidding, it was his choice to get cancer.

I just hope he didn't have any kids so his line ends with him.

It could be non-small cell. The 5-year survival rate for advanced/metastatic NSCLC is still pretty low, even with advances in treatment over the last 10 years.
 
So ... Who replaces Limbaugh at the "golden microphone"? ... Donald Trump? I'm not sure the MAGAest of MAGAs could stand DJT for three hours every day. I actually think his syndicated network will just break up. Remember when Howard Stern left radio for Sirius? His stations tried replacing him with various shock jocks and David Lee Roth and it failed miserably. It’s brutal to try to replace a popular radio personality/show.

When he passes ... couldn't they just do re-runs for the next few years? Would anyone notice?

So sad. Couldn't happen to a meaner, more vile and heartless kind of guy who made hate and fear his trademark talking point day in and out.

In the overall scheme of things, Rush has made his fate a self-induced kind of thing, like so many others who had a choice to make where taking risks with their health in order to satisfy their habitual urgings took precedence over living a long and healthy lifespan.

My only hope is that he can make peace with himself over the choices he's made that led to where he's at right now. In Limbaugh's case, regret is something that's hard to deal with when you're looking death square in the face while trying to very hard to deny you didn't have anything to do with the encounter.
