Hmm... perhaps he did mean the lyrics. I do know that many people are unaware of how profound and intelligent they tend to be.

And for the record, I like Geddy's voice as well. Admittedly, it was weaker on many of the earliest albums, and has declined a bit since Test for Echo, but from Moving Pictures to Counterparts I would say it was quite clear and just about beautiful in spots. I would say pinnacle examples of how good his voice could be would be "Chain Lightning" off Presto, "Ghost of a Chance" from Roll the Bones (the most beautiful rock song ever IMO), and "Animate" and "Nobody's Hero" off Counterparts.

I've recently done a 180 on Rush. I didn't use to like them but now I'm coming around. I'll credit a lot of that to Neil Peart. That guy is a drum god plain and simple and that's beyond argument.

On a related note any Rush fans have some album recomendations for me? I just picked up Moving Pictures so that one's taken care of.

Edit: Oh, and btw, Rush is in no way obscure. WTF are you talking about?
