Running WoW in a window

I've tried opening up the console by pressing "~" in the game and it doesn't work. Can someone clue me in on what I'm doing wrong?

Hit the computer icon at the bottom of the window. Can't remember which option to go to but you need to choose "run in window" or something like that.

uh.....hitting the "~" for console...does that work in WoW?
just use the options, its under Video, and can even use full screen while running in window!

Yes, but you have to add -console to the end of your WoW shortcut.
