Alright, so I finished the theives guild, mages guilds, and almost done with the brotherhood. My character is level 21, mostly a mix between a thief and a warrior, if thats possible. Now I've wandered around going into Ayleid ruins and the like, getting loot and it's really starting to get repetitive. Anything interesting thats left to do? I would love to play a story driven mod if one such is available.

Have you done the shrine quests? You can't do all of them at level 21, but you can do some of them and they are usually pretty fun and/or bizarre.

Also you can do the quests for the warriors' guild.

Yeah I did some of them, all I got are some new items though, like the skeleton key for opening all locks. The fighters guild just seems boring, mostly hack and slash quests which I have done enough of.

It's a huge open ended game... have some fun. You don't need a set quest to have some fun in this type of game. There are expansions for it and tons of mods. Look at some of the mod sites for what's been made.

Played Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine?

Have you tried OOO or Francesco's mod? There are also some outstanding quest mods like Castle Ravenpride and Daggerfall Memories. Lots to do and super work including fully voiced dialogue.

The first couple are boring, but there's a bigger subplot lurking in there.

Other than that, sounds like it's time for you to get the expansions.

You're only level 21 and running out of things to do?

I was level 60 when I stopped and there was still 50+ quests waiting to be started in my list.

There are 2 expansions to Oblivion now, maybe give them a try.

Well I'm using Francesco's and Quarls Textures. I'm more interested in a story centered mod where you can have a party of people like in NWN.

Knights of the Nine.

I haven't played either of them, but I hear they're good.

I always loved looking for sidequests. I loved the Shadow Over Hackdirt sidequest and the one about the frozen tears. And don't forget the one you get in the imperial city where you collect the Ayelid statues, that turns into a fun longer sidequest. There's hundreds of side quests you can find if you talk to people and search around. I also enjoyed building up skills, though that actually makes the game harder some since most things in Oblivion Gates are 10 levels higher than you regardless of your level.

WRONG!
For somebody that has it you should know better.

In addition to the little downloadable mods is a HUGE quest based on the Knights of the Nine that takes you to many new places which dont exist in the main game.
EDIT: Also, if the OP is getting tired of all the guild quests and has already completed the main quests and shrines I recommend one of two things.
1: Stop playing. As crazy as that sounds it makes sense. If you are getting bored, stop it. Go do something else for a week. Your brain is trying to tell you something. Find another activity for a while and when you come back you'll have renewed energy.

2: Dig around online for some homemade quests. Some of them are pretty darn good. The game has been out long enough that we are through all the nekkid mods and now people are making whole adventures.

Woah, so you're saying there's naked mods I haven't played?

yeah its plug-in or mod. wich are there are hundreds (thousands?).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T...V:_Knights_of_the_Nine

The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine is an official plug-in for the game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The Windows version is available as a download and as part of the Oblivion Downloadable Content Collection CD (which includes all the official downloadable content available for Oblivion ? not only Knights of the Nine but also Wizard's Tower, Orrery, Mehrunes' Razor, Thieves Den, Vile Lair, Horse Armor Pack and Spell Tomes).

even Bethesda says that shivering isle is teh only expansion. it list Knights of the nine as a plug-in (for like $1.99). The cd sold in stores is just a collection of the offical mods.

IT is not a EXPANSION pack.

edit: http://obliviondownloads.com/S...t.aspx?SubCategoryId=1

looksl ike i was wrong. the cost of Knights of the Nine is $10 (you can get teh CD of all the offical mods for $10 at walmart)

Check out the user made mods. There are tons of them, only have a handful are gold.

I'm an ESIV:eek:b modder myself and I think my best work is probably my Diverse City Guards. Check out tessource.net and look look around, you're bound to find something you like.

Shivering Isles is worth getting, gives you a new area, decent story and a few quests ,plus new gear like armour etc and a surpise bonus ;)......I ended up after doing all the possible quests by exploring every cave/dungeon,I also upgraded all of my 10 houses.

I guess you can find things to do if you are determined,so far I have spent about 255 gaming hours on the game(playing on and off).

Play Morrowind! :p

Or just download some mods. Oblivion is much, much better with mods.
