I have an FIC AZ11 board and a Radeon 32MB DDR, I also have permanent lockups in all 3D games.
My machine runs windows 98se, an 800 MHz T-bird,128MB PC133 Ram, a soundblaster live and an ethernet card.
I have updated all drivers, installed directX8a, updated the bios and checked for IRQ conflicts. Following ATI tech support instructions I did a complete clean install of the Radeon drivers and checked to make sure all bios adjustment were to ATI standards.
There was some improvement in all this, I can now run office apps and DVDs easily, but no game runs.
ATI notes that some KT133 chip set boards have trouble with radeons, mine sure does, and while their drivers have helped I'm still gameless. I am considering a new motherboard but I'm open to other suggestions. All advice welcome.:disgust:
