i have no idea how this is possible. But with hidden files turned on and did a search through hidden files.. there is no pagefile.sys file anywhere on the system. Can i replace it from the CD or something?

You have show SYSTEM files turned on too, right?

You apparently turned off your pagefile then. Turn it back on and you should see it in the root of D:.

Turning off your pagefile is bad.

It appears to be turned on, least i don't know how you actually turn it off all the items in system error reporting are checked.

It's been up for 2 1/2 hours and no crash. I even plugged in all my USB devices (2 more PVR's)

The only thing I changed was I manually configured in the BIOS to 800MHZ
and set the voltate of auto to 2.10

Could that have been the instability? still to early to tell but IM running everything i can on this system to see if i get a crash.

3 PVr's watching a movie, surfing the internet..etc

I will report if i can get the dump file. Is there another place I may check to make sure the page

I've asked a few specific questions. I need you to tell me if you have Show System Files turned on in Windows Explorer. It's the option right under Show Hidden Files. Both need to be on. Once that's on, you can look at the root folder (D:) and confirm you have a pagefile.sys file there.

Yes I have it turned on - DOH missed one of the options. Ok the PAGEsys file is in there

I am normally not this illiterate:)

The pagefile is in there and it is turned on. I'm still running a ton of stuff and no system crashes yet.

Pagefile.sys is in D:?

And minidumps are enabled?

Then you should get dumps. What does the Windows Ssytem eventlog look like at the time of the crashes? That should have a brief report of what happens.

Just an update:

After I changed the Voltage and clock speed from default to 2.10 and the clock speed to 800mhz in the BIOS the system has been running under full load (3 pvr recordings, watching tv, cpu monitor) everything has been running for 6 hours straight now without issue.

Since 10 A.M. without a crash so far!

I wonder if it was really that simple?

Im currently not seeing any errors in the event log. Believe me I will let you know as soon as I get a BSOD and can view the dump file! Minii dump is enabled.

If it's a hardware issue, the dumpfile won't help much. I'm happy you found the resolution to your issue!

Incidently, a kernel dump will be an even better way of trying to resolve crash issues, as it captures a bit more information for the debugger to look at.

Run verifier. Pick the 'code developers' option, and to individually select choices from a full list. Choose the first four options, and click next; check all unsigned drivers. Reboot when prompted.

If you get into a no-boot situation simply boot in safe mode and run verifier again and turn all verification off.
