Running out of ideas...Maybe I'm under powered?

Hi guys,

I've been reading these forums for a number of years and have found them both entertaining a quite valuable.....so thanks.

Anyway, Ive just upgraded and I seem to be having a few issues namely with Battle field 2. I know this isn't a "Battle Field 2 tech help" forum but i need to find out if it's the problem or if its something else.

I've built this system:

AMD x2 3800+
Zalman CNPS7700-Cu
Asus 7800GT
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
1 gig Corsair 3200
Seagate SATA 200gig HD
x1 Liteon CD/CDRW
X1 LG CD/DVD/DVDRW
External M-audio Firwire Sound Card
360 watt P/w (no name brand) 🙁

*there are no heating issues (chip runs @ 30c and 7800 @ 31c)

So started getting "network data corruption errors" and i changed both the Ethernet drivers and the video drivers. I was using the beta x64 drivers for the Ethernet and then moved to the win2000/xp drivers. With the video card i moved from the 77.?? to 78.01.
These didn?t change anything. I installed another Ethernet card and the I just started to get "lost connection with server" every 10-15 mins. Now it just completely "Hangs" in game, no response or nothing.

I'm pretty sure most of you will say..." need more power".... I'd just like to try and re-create the problems somewhere else. I also tried disconnecting the power from both cd/DVD ROMs and the floppy with no different result.

Could anyone recommend any software for me to do testing of some sorts?
Something to do to cancel out or prove that Battle field 2 is/is not the problem?
What issues would i see with an under powered machine?
Would i see any of these problem with an underpowered machine?

Have you installed the latest patch for Battlefield2? Done the remove video trick? It is hard to trule out Battlefield 2 because it is terribly unreliable software. However I don't think it is your power supply, an underpowered system usually randomly reboots. Have you used a program to check your PSU voltages?
