Okay, I keep hearing conflicting stuff on this. I'm running a new Dell D400 laptop. I've heard two schools of thought on keeping the battery in decent shape charge-wise
A) Get the battery to ~35% charge and take it out, running the laptop on just AC power unless you're taking it somewhere. Leaving the battery at 35% charge when not using it will cause it to last longer.
B) Leave the battery in the computer so it stays fully charged, but just let the battery fully discharge once a month or so.
Which one works better? I'd prefer option B (D400 looks like crap without the battery in there, and it's unstable because one of the rubber feet is actually on the battery) so if the two are pretty much the same, I'll probably go with B unless A seriously improves battery life.
