Running IE7 and IE6 simultaneously

I'm still using IE6 (on XP Pro SP2) and I'm wondering if I can have a separate install of IE7, or is the only option an "update/upgrade" of IE6?

From info on Micrsoft's site, it seems like IE7 is only able to install over IE6.

You can't have both, as far as I am aware. You could set up a virtual machine to run one, and run the other on your native OS, if it's important.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Seeing as more and more people are moving to IE7, I'd like to check my web site dev with that browser.

Yes, that's what a friend of mine who's a web developer does to test sites on IE6 and IE7.
