The new case that I got will only fit in a semi enclosed space in my desk, 2 enclosed sides. With my current system, it gets fairly warm. I'm looking for options to cool that space with small fans similar to case fans. I have some old power supplies that I heard can be set to on without being connected to a motherboard. Also heard an old at power supply with the on/off switch would work for it also. Any ideas to help me out here?

You can start up ATX power supplies with no mobo by shorting the green wire to one of the black ground wires. You could make a on/off switch to do this or just use a paper clip. An AT PSU with a switch would work as well.

new antec PSUs have an external molex connector. you coudl run a molex out an open PCI slot (or that slot above the AGP port that never gets used).

yup, simply extend fan wires through case pci slot or crack and cut holes in desk:p solder or crimp wires together, or buy extentions. your going to want 120mm fans.

Here are two PS that do just what you need. I have the 1500ma one and it powers 6 small LED's and 4 120mm fans just fine. Pcmods also has free shipping right now I think, so only $14.99 for the biggest one, or $4.99 for the small one.
