Running a program installed using "hidden" Administrator account

Hi

I had to install a program by enabling and logging into the Windows 7 "hidden" Administrator account with super users rights. Earlier attempts to install it in the normal account as well as "Run as administrator" both failed.

After successful installation, I attempted to find a way to run the program in my normal account (say, X) by X taking full ownership. However, this doesn't work.

Has anyone come across a similar problem and found a solution?

Is it installed in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)? If so, try uninstalling it, and then re-installing it, but with the following changes:
1. Instead of using run as, set compatibility mode to XP SP3
2. Install it to its own directory right off of C:\, or somewhere in your user's profile directory tree.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Cerb.

Neither. The program installed itself under the Administrator account (whilst logged in as hidden "Administrator"). It doesn't even appear under "Programs and Features".

1. Tried this already. Didn't work.
2. Will investigate.
 
What program are you trying to install?

If the program really won't install under anything except an actual Administrator account, and doesn't show up under other accounts when it is installed, you can set the normal account to Administrator status temporarily, install the program, then set the account back to its normal security level when the installation finishes.
