Running 1024x768-only games on 1280x1024 TFT

i'm planning to buy a 1280x1024 TFT panel (16ms etc.) but wonder what will happen with my 1024x768-only games (there are loads of them from the 2001-03 era).
any general comments from LCD'ers if they will function/being scaled down/suck?

At 1024x768, it will work fine. Anything lower than that and you'll start loosing image quality.

You also have the option of running FSAA should you require which does help. But all in all it isn't that bad.

Turn off size to fit in the driver and you will have an itty bitty black bar at the top and bottom
