I just saw this movie over the weekend and was quite impressed.

I was surprised to find out that it was in German and subtitled in English. Even so, it is a really unique and excellent movie. The premise is that Lola needs to come up with 100,00 marks (~$50k) in 20 minutes or her boyfriend dies. They run through at least three alternative versions of that 20 minutes. All of this is done in a very cool way.

If you can stand subtitles, rent this movie!
 
I agree, it's a lot of fun.

I saw Snatch again last night... man, that movie is greatness.

"What are we gonna do, deafen 'em to death?"
 
I've heard good things about the movie. It was a huge success everywhere except in the US. Another good foreign movie that got killed by the movie distribution system.

Anyone watch the Simpsons Sunday catch the Run Lola Run reference with Lisa? hehe..

And yes Snatch is great, I need to get the DVD.

Sunday's Simpsons episode had a great spoof on it. Played the music during 'Lisa's Day' anytime she was running around.
 
Run Lola Run demonstrates the need for a new Academy Award Category: Funkiest Hair Style.

BTW, if you watch the movie with the English Dub on, the language makes it only a pg-13 movie.

"Run Lola Run" was pretty good for what it was.
 
Uhm, "scheize" isn't a German word. What you're looking for is "Scheisse".


Anyways, I loved that movie. I should try to find that movie on DVD, that way I can turn off the subtitles, otherwise I'm too lazy to actually listen to the German, I just read the English 😉

on a somewhat related note... if anyone watched The Simpsons last night, it was a parity of this film (which by the way was an excellent movie and i'm happy to own it on DVD even though my player's broken 🙂 )

Have you guys seen the preview of her new movie, it's called &quot;Princess ...&quot; I forgot the rest but it looks AWESOME!
 
My favorite part of Run Lola Run were those cutaway scenes when they show possible fates of the passersby. It's genius how they can tell whole stories by flashing slides in a matter of a few seconds.

its a damn good thing it was subbed. Foreign language films are ALWAYS better with subtitles, and the dubbed version of Run Lola Run is quite bad.
