?I mean, we?ve got Chavez in Venezuela with a lot of oil money,? Rumsfeld added. ?He?s a person who was elected legally ? just as Adolf Hitler was elected legally ? and then consolidated power and now is, of course, working closely with Fidel Castro and Mr. Morales and others.?
Ooooh yes, that IS bad, mmmmkay? hahaha. The U.S. should prepare for a punishing attack by Mr Morales. He's reeeeeally gonna tear us up.... I'm fortifying my bomb shelter right now!
Does ANYone in this administration understand history at all? It would appear not. I mean, how can he say something like that with a straight face? It's insane.

The idiots are at it again. The same can be said about Bush, and both comparisons are equally right/wrong.

These people need to STFU

?I mean, we?ve got Bush in America with a lot of tax revenue money,? Rumsfeld added. ?He?s a person who was elected legally ? just as Adolf Hitler was elected legally ? and then consolidated power and now is, of course, working closely with Chalabi, Sharon and others.?

Fixed.

Chavez is not even a communist. I'm at loss to classify him, but I would says a leftist nationalist with mildly anti-imperialist agenda, which seems to be very popular in South America nowadays. Let's see, Uncle Sam's backyard has become a nightmare: leftists have won power in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, etc. Besides, they're doing pretty good economically, unlike the rightist regimes they had earlier which only managed to stuff the pockets of a few fat cats at the top while leading to widespread poverty and bankrupt countries.

Clash of Political Philosophies. Besides, Chavez openly disses the US and even goes to Cuba to meet with Castro.

Because he keeps making anti-Bush and anti-USA comments, and threatens us constantly?

But which came first? Did he run on an anti-US platform or what? (I'll read about it just as easily I guess)

Bush cannot be compared to Hitler: he was not elected legally. Jeb, Diebold, and a few supremely corrupt judges did their best to make him president.

Only threats, IIRC, is to take THEIR oil to China and help build refineries there. Threat? Hardly.

He is anti-Bush, not anti-US. Prior to Bush, our relations with Venezuela were quite good. Chavez is still pretty bad though, since he appears to be pushing his country away from democracy.

You realize you are contradicting yourself, there, right?
