He's not so much lying as spinning, each is reprehensible but honestly, do you imagine that he has any idea what he said previously?

No, it didn't. I know what has been said and not said.:) He should have presented a more nuanced statement but oh well. We aren't voting for Rumsfeld.:) You may now return to your circle jerk.

lol, 'nuanced'. Yeah, we might not be voting for him ,but if bush decides to keep this lying c*cksucker on board, that should definetely affect your vote, since you're a man of such high moral standards ;)

Heh, I find it funny that you have been reduced to nonsequiter-one-line replies. :p

"The fearless Rummy is an out and out liar "

"Yeah!!"

"Yeah!!"

"You guys are stroking yourselves"

quite a comeback

I'm sure Bowfinger and Monsta? will be quite please to hear that their phrase = being "reduced to nonsequiter-one-line replies". :)

There you go again.

And for the guy that said "Well, Rumsfeld is not the President..." Well, maybe not, but he represents the President and everyone in that administration was beating the same damned drum IMMINENT THREAT WMDs OH MY!, they now have the balls to deny it on camera and they should pay with their jobs come November.

That is all.

ROTFLMAO!!

By bringing up Clinton were you trying to shift the attention on to someone else?

dont worry about ckg, his responses just show us that he knows that rumsfeld is a liar.

i kinda feel sorry for rumsfeld, four years of lying do take a toll on a person. not that he really wanted to, he was forced to lie to keep his job. if he had told the truth about anything he would have been shoved out of his post like all the other former bush appointees that tried to tell the truth.

The first one was pretty weak, and I was fully expecting that to be the extent of it. I began sort of mentally preparing my response to those who said it was a video of Rummy getting owned, and telling them it was nothing of the sort.

Then i saw the second one, the kill shot. Yikes.

I wish they didn't cut off the video so soon, watching rummy squirm and stutter so much was absolutely GOLD :D

Perhaps because Clinton was lying about some head he got in the oval office and Rummy was lying about a war that has cost us billions of dollars and hundreds (thousands?) of lives, American and Iraqi.

In other words: it's OK that a high-ranking member of the administration lies. They all do it. But I'll act like it's no big deal with my off-topic comment, "We aren't voting for Rumsfeld." Oh see? See how I blew that off like it was no biggie?

~but clinton, Cad?

Perhaps we should use your own tactics against you: Is Rumsfeld a liar? Yes or No. Answer the question.

It depends on what your meaning of "immediate threat" is.

Haha, that is gold. I love seeing the spinmasters though: "No, he didn't lie! He merely...accentuated a probable falsity!"

Yes DM - Rummy got caught. He isn't being elected. You all may continue with your circle jerk - maybe phokus will donate his cookie to the cause.

No, Rummy's not technically up for election but he's one of the puppeteers with his hand up Bush.

AGain, if you had any bit of morality or ethics, the fact that bush decides to keep that lying c*cksucker on instead of firing him should factor into your vote. Oh but he won't fire him, because bush had/has the exact same view :D

Yes, its a MoveOn link but the video from Face the Nation. Nice to see him squirm.

how in the world do you extract that he lied from this?? where does he say that iraq is an immenent threat? is this really the best that you can come up with??

"some have argued that the threat is not immenent.... i would not be so certain"

"no state poses a more immenent threat than iraq"

1. you've answered your own question

2. actually it's, 'no state poses a more IMMEDIATE threat than iraq" (but yeah, immediate and imminent are pretty much synonyms).

Why thank you. Frankly it doesn't matter if we're electing Rummy or not, because Bush promised to bring honor and integrity back to the White House. Instead we've got a bunch of officials who can't keep their lies and half-truths straight. Based on your comments here (and your attitude in general when these things come up), you apparantly think it's no big deal. Okay Cad, whatever you say. :)
