Best Buy store in NJ off route 46 West had about 30 nerds lined up at 9PM... hahaha, UPN9 was there filming them in the cold. Place oddly smelled like piss too.

I went by my local bb about 7pm and there were at least 40 people already lined up. That store was getting only 40 units according to that website. Its freaking cold out to, hehe.
I wouldnt wait out in the cold just to play pgr3 and PDZ. Gonna wait till the good stuff comes out. By then you'll be able to just walk in any of the stores that sells them and pick them up.
Cant wait till stuff like gears of war, 99 nights and the ghost recon game comes out.

went to BB in tukwilla wa and saw a line of about 30-40 people in tents and lounge chairs

asked an employee in the store what deal they were waiting for and he said xbox 360 ... they were expecting a shipment of 30 tomorrow ... and those people have been camping since the night before (friday)

2 months from now, we'll be tripping over stacks of consoles in the isles of toysRus

Same here in Baton Rouge LA . I went by on the way back from corporate party and already a parking lot full of people, campers, and tents...

its 12:47am right now, what would happen if i drove to best buy and cut everyone in line???🙂

A riot. There was a riot at one of those stores for the cheap laptop on black friday rememeber? I think it was a walmart. It was caused by ppl cutting in line then physically fighting over it. The police were called out and walmart shut down for the night, so no one got the laptop lol.

actually I have been following the ebay sales and the last one went for 890.00

I think the price will go up, even with the influx of new supply. The demand is still huge and the new supply is just not sufficient to satisfy it. What it will do is make people that much more depserate. If this were a poll I would say, the price is going up, $1000 max.

there are plenty of costco bundles with a BIN of $750 on ebay, and if you look back some costco bundles have closed for just $600, which is less than $100 profit for the seller. things will level off soon!

just got back from from a quick survey of the BB in OC.

Stopped by at Metro Pointe BB @ 3:15 AM, there was just a father and son waiting outside. They had said that wristbands were handed out to people earlier in the evening. I decided to call it a loss, figuring that basically all the 84 units would be accounted for.

Next stop, the Tustin Marketplace BB at about 4:30 AM. There were many more people camping out, probably more than the 30 units allotted to that store.

A little ways down the 22 freeway, the Westminster BB was in complete darkness. Upon driving up to the store, I discovered tent city. A quick visual estimate led me to believe that their 54 unit allotment was also accounted for.

Just for kicks, I stopped by the Metro Pointe BB at about 5:30 on my way home, only to discover a huge line of roughly 60-70 people. I am curious as to whether or not many of those people were in possession of a wristband, but I am betting that the majority of those people won't be getting an Xbox.

Guess it is time to continue checking Target's stock.

I just came home with my premium system. Best Buy in White Marsh, MD got 46 premium and 2 cores. The property management wouldn't let people line up formally until 4 am, but we kept lining up and the cops kept dispersing us. Finally when we lined up at 3:10, they just let us stay. But then when the best buy manager arrived, people just started crowding around the doors.

They let in the first 48 people at 4:45 to throngs of people pushing, I thought some of the ladies were going to get trampled, the police did practically nothing to help out. As I was being pushed I put my hand around the sliding door to steady myself, some police officer starts hitting my fingers with the fold out stick, hurt like hell. Oh well, I was 3rd in line, but after all the pushing and mob started I turned out to be 14th in the door. I blocked the way so some of the mothers that were waiting in line with us could get in before me though.

Anyway, long story short, I'm tired, but I have my 360.

I stopped by our Best Buy in Logan Utah....about a small of a town that Best Buy would dare to put a store. The line was 14+ people at 9:45pm....14! at 9:45pm! Freezing their arses off for a console....pretty pathetic.

LOL Best Buy online had some for sale while I was up @ 7:00am to study for my BIO final. And I didn't buy one. Already bought too many PC games recently and didn't even play them...

Apparently my plan of showing up 15 minutes early wasn't a good idea. It sounded like the person to get the last xbox had arrived over an hour and a half early (and it was freakin cold out).

So that means they will always be 750-800? You're forgetting, with the release of these new batches, prices will continue to fall (as they have been) as more people and more people that actually want the console will have them. This means less people competing with one another on ebay for the consoles. Use some common sense.

Using common sense, i think they'll probly go for near 1K or more based on the fact that people get more desperate as xmas nears; so the decrease in demand will be offset by the increase in fear of being unable to provide a shiny new console for their kid. besides even with this shipment, the demand far surpasses the supply..just my $0.02

I agree. I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember the Christmas when the Cabbage Patch Kids came out, but there was some serious crazyness going on in the weeks aproaching Christmas, let me tell you...

You guys are just daydreaming. Before telling us all how much these would go for on ebay, did you not bother checking ebay now? Ending bids HAVE come down, just as I told you they would. One ended for as low as $540, most around $650 and some around $700. The highest was $850, and that's only because that was done with "Buy It Now". So much for that $1K prediction of yours.

Also, don't forget "The Great Tickle Me Elmo Rush" when they first came out. People were were making a lot of money off of those.

The power of advertising.

Ebay seems awful slow this morning. Everyone must be listing from work the Xboxes they snatched up yesterday. 🙂

I bought 3 from sams, which included an extra controller, and a play and charge thing, and I included Call of Duty 2. My cost was $546 each after tax.

I sold one for $800, and two for $650 each on ebay. After fees, shipping etc, I made a little over $400.

Needless to say I did make a profit, but near as much as my first two. I made $400 total from my first two without any games. I added games this time because the auctions with games were going higher the first go round.

i dunno... after seeing the prices on ebay today, that camp out for best buy's 18th relaunch is totally not worth it.

I remember hearing about it, but I was fairly young at the time. Luckily for my parents, I was more interested in getting some transformers, star wars figures, or an odd piece of hardware for my C64. Ooh I remember the xmas I got my first external 5 1/4 floppy drive, I was big time. No more saving proggies to a cassete recorder device for me.

<-- is glad there are no "must-have" launch titles... otherwise I'd really want to get in. My "pre-order" made in September is still waiting... and thankfully, I don't seem care.

Nice. Thanks to people like you I can't get an XBox 360. Hope you won't be able to sell it- at least not for a huge profit.

I went to the BB in Stockton, CA. They had 47 premium and 2 core. I got there at 10pm and was probably #39-42 in line. After 10hrs in the freezing rain and a few bastards cutting in line, I got a crappy core system. I ended up being #49. I feel sorry for the 17 yr old kid behind me that got there 10 minutes after me.
