Dunno. Slapping "world's fastest card" on a dual chip solution doesn't sound like the Fury X can reliably beat the 980ti.

Eh, not like it matters.

"Overclockers dream"

Raja talked about a refined GCN implementation here. They managed to get it to clock higher than existing GCN so far?

Damn. That's just what AMD needed to go against nvidia, clock speed. Nice nice nice

Should be GCN 1.2.

I think he refers to the 500W capable watercooler.

Well, time to wait for reviews. FuryX is effectively $130 cheaper than 980Ti once I buy a GPU block, so if they do hit Ti levels and don't OC like a dog, it'll be tough to stay away.

Yup so now fury or fury x.. My card now was about the same price as the fury when I bought it so that's what I'm willing to spend if I have to upgrade.

Smash it? 1.5x performance/watt over the 290X sounds more like equal +/-5%.

At the top end flagship, faster is faster. It's what commands the premium. Even 10% faster is a smash and pretty significant when we are talking about the limits of what can be done.

Looking forward to reviews on this card.

Maybe 390/390x is priced too high so many will just invest another $100 for Fury. They need to sell a ton of furys to get back the R&D cost.

Should be GCN 1.2.

I think he refers to the 500W capable watercooler.

GCN 1.2 in Tonga isn't exactly an overclockers dream. This has to be "GCN 1.3" for lack of a better name. Come on, this has to be enough to get you excited over AMD for once! Gotta love competition.

There is a reason they put the overspecced 2x8 pin AND the watercooler considering they've shown Fiji with that ridiculously small air cooler claiming it beats the 290x...

AMD needs clock speed to take on these monstrosity of 980TIs running at over 1300-1400 MHz. This could be it.

I think the Nano might be the biggest deal out of the bunch, given it has to slot way below the vanilla Fury on the price curve and therefore compete directly against the 980's current price.

And I'm fine with that. nvidia did me a favor!

Fury X - $650, MINE!!!!! They've been reading my bitch posts. I know it!

My money is on 980 TI OC being faster than Fury X OC. But I think the $549 Fury is going to force a third GM200 sku and drop the GTX 980 price to $449.

The Nano sounds like a dream come true for people with SFF cases. Typically you are stuck with weak GPUs for thermal reasons. But now you get 290X+ performance for half the power usage? Thats awesome.

No.

Unlike the Fury X they didnt tell about the TDP for the Nano.

Nano could just as well be 290X performance at ~150W.

Exactly. I think their yields are probably all over the place and therefore Nano is going to be heavily cut down and heavily down clocked.
