possible. Or, they could simply use the same PCB.
Ugh.. 1 more freaking week.
These leaks are getting more and more fruitful. I'm going to bet by Friday, we have a decent leak of Fiji that we feel confident about.
I think so. We're getting more and more leaks as we get closer to launch. My pyre speculation is a performance leak by Sunday. Then reveal on 16th and then reviews to show us just how useful that hbm is or isn't.LOL, that would be nice. 🙂
But I thing silveforce is trying to say that when you have hot room if you are living in hot climate or no proper airflow, the OC ability goes out of the windows from the get go. And like you RS have so many times pointed those intel graphs which prove that when silicon is running hot it is also using more power. Also affecting even more to the OC ability and making the whole system use more and the room hotter.
Second point, I have my computer under the office table on my left side where I sit and the table is placed against the wall from right side and from front. So there is only one way the air comes out first and its mostly just where I sit between me and the table. All the hot air comes straight to my face and the difference is pretty big when gaming and when not. I have 7970 OC to 1.1GHz and sometimes while gaming the hot air is really annoying. Any more than that in in my face would be really annoying all the time. While 40-50w is not much in total system power and not really much warming the room, but straight in your face it is starting to be a big deal. So I think that is also one of the things silverforce was trying to imply. The new PSU for every new GPU is starting to become really old excuse and it's hard to believe that all those 550$ 980 owners doesn't invest in other components of their systems like PSU. Besides mostly everybody any time someone is asking what PSU to buy is suggesting something good and efficient which doesn't take the whole system with it when it goes poof.
If the Battlefront bundle rumor is true that's going to move some units.
I just think in the last 3 years the constant movement to perf/watt from users who overclock their CPUs and GPUs is becoming really hypocritical. If someone really cares about perf/watt, they aren't buying i5/i7 K series CPUs
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knows if there will be a R7-260x Replacement card coming In 3xx flavor?I need a el-cheapo $100.00 card for the living room HTPC and dont want to spend more then that.Dont want anything more power hungry either as this will be powered on and running 24/7.

Fiji, and the Fury line of cards which are based on it, introduce improvements across the board. Performance is obviously significantly improved. Fury X is faster than the R9 290X by a minimum of 54%. Which brings us to the second major improvement. Fury X achieves this performance improvement with a TDP that’s a meager 10W higher. Which makes Fury X 48% more power efficient than AMD’s previous single GPU flagship the R9 290X, which is quite remarkable.

I think the pro will still have amazing performance. Amds second place product has always been an amazing value.
Thanks to Russian, I didn't waste cash on the 7970 and picked up the 7950. Worked perfectly for me since I was too lazy to coin mine and the extra upgrade from the 7970 would never have come into play with the games I've played so far.
Hopefully air cooled fiji pro is strong enough to run the current games I want at 4k resolution or close to it for down sampling.
I think I may just get fury x, play all the games I plan to (none are coming out this year I'll never get to those games in time lol) then sell it in prep for 2016 cards. I should just wait for 2016 but my 7950 is getting old and I really want to see games like acunity on my big screen in super high fidelity quality.
Also of course curious to see how it handles crysis!
