You know, for $40/month I could definitely do 500 minutes with unlimited data on an Android phone.
The Hero, I guess? Sprint's newer stuff is and will continue to be 4G and $50.

Well I have to ask... the announcement says "As of 10/1/10 there will be two new SERO plans..."

Does that mean they're going to offer SERO to new customers again?

I havent read ANYTHING that indicates that.

It's for real, people. Users at another forum I frequent have been upgrading already.

Do you have to be on an existing SERO plan to get the premium? Is this available for new customers?

Sorry, way late to the party here. So I am on SERO 500 with an old samsung phone. Does this mean I can upgrade to the HTC Evo for the price of the phone and $50/month?

Yep! Just don't try to do it in a store, most of them can't touch SERO accounts. For best results call Telesales.

Ewww you went from SERO to AT&T? Poor boy.

Unfortunately.

The new monthly bill sucks and sprint's network was more reliable/faster in my area, but it came down to my patience.

Nearly 4 years later after the original iPhone I thought it would be enough time for competitors to catch up. I was hoping that the EVO would be my refuge. I waited a long time for such a device ever since rumors of the HD2. I knew that there would be an HD2 like android device.

It failed to impress me and so Apple has earned my money after their 4yrs of efforts in refining the iPhone. I don't even think gingerbread would be what I'm looking for, so I await for honeycomb(whatever it's called next.)
