Rumor regarding Halo 2

My buddy told me today that Halo 2 has been beaten on Legendary, and that during the ending it says "Coming February 29th." Is this true?
 
Some people say it's the 9th (not the 29th), which supposedly coincides with the countdown on ILoveBees (I haven't verified this myself).

I beat the last level on legendary, and got no such message (not even a special ending). I didn't beat legendary "all the way through," so maybe the "secret" requires beating all levels on legendary.
 
what would be the point in hiding a message like that ? The instant someone accomplishes whatever holds the secret... he's just going to post it on The Internets for all to see anyway... why even bother putting that in the code ?

Probably its announcement for xbox-next, accompanied with a prerendered image of Master Chief looking like the unreal engine 3 models.

Halo 2 is about gameplay/storyline... I don't think it was ever highly praised for graphics alone. I wouldn't call it crap either... 1995 was crap graphics.

I never understood the graphics junkies... you know that what they are capable of doing now is nowhere near looking real right ? So why are you so hard up on "good graphics" ?

fire up half life 2 at 1600x1200 everything on high, reflect all 8xaf and 4xaa ...

they're getting close :shocked:

Yeah I maxed out HL2 and its' pretty damn good.
