Yeah, you heard me. This is just my prediction, but knowing Steve Jobs you know he's going to beg Intel for at least a 3 month jump on Yonah vs. the Wintel crowd. And I think Intel will do it (unless AMD magically has a dual-core Turion designed for mobile from the ground up.)
We all know (or suspect) the first Mactel will be a new Mac mini with current Pentium M architecture. But this launch won't demonstrate the awesome power of the Intel alliance like Apple wants. They want a BIG announcement where Apple actually takes the performance lead vs. Microsoft.
We also know the current PowerBooks are a joke when it comes to performance. I believe that rushing to market with just another Pentium M would be too little, too late. But if Apple could be first to market with a Yonah solution...that would pwn!
One thing I'm curious about is how Apple will prevent people from running Windows on their Macs. This could be the next big thing for the modchip community!
