cut him some slack, he's from New Jersey.
Please, put down the crack pipe and step away from the keyboard...So what if amd's are mostly 1-2 Ghz, I bet they do better then most p4 2.0-2.8 Ghz's.
Holy Jesus, look how insanely high Intel is pricing their high end CPU!Im just mad Intel can just price a cpu to whatever they want it to.
You forgot to point out that the P4 is a Retail version, while the Barton is OEM.Originally posted by: JackBurton

P4 3.06GHz Hype Threading enabled CPU for $395!
Less than $400 for a TOP end CPU. That is crazy! The nerve of Intel.
Now AMD on the other hand is charging a small price of $334 for their top end CPU.
The difference is amazing! A whole $60 difference, I mean, that is like the price of a game!! :Q How can Intel charge such a ridiculous price for their CPUs?! They're evil, just plain evil I tell you!![]()

What Bill Gates needs to do (or some other nerd) is make a demand for some power consuming software. Then that will force people to upgrade.
In the past 16 years, AMD has had eight profitable years and eight in the red. Total net earnings since the end of 1986, including acquisitions and sell-offs, comes to around $350 million, about the same as Intel earns in six weeks.
